Privacy Policy
How MapleWeave handles information that families choose to share through our website, private preview, and messaging services.
Effective: November 6, 2026
Who we are
MapleWeave (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a family-organization service operated at mapleweave.com. MapleWeave is currently in private founder testing. Some integrations and account options described on our website are still in development and are not yet available for public enrollment.
What we collect
Depending on how you use MapleWeave, we may collect contact information (including name, email address, phone number and household association); consent records; information you voluntarily send or connect (calendar details, reminders, tasks, shopping lists, messages, attachments, photographs, and voicemail recordings or transcriptions); account and access information; and technical information such as IP address, browser/device information, cookies, timestamps, and operational logs.
Messages and attachments may contain information about children, family members, schedules, or other people. Only submit content you are authorized to share.
How information is used
We use information to provide requested household organization functions, identify where incoming information belongs, create or propose tasks and calendar entries, send responses tied to user-initiated submissions and requested follow-ups, protect accounts, investigate problems, maintain service reliability, respond to requests, and meet legal obligations. When content is difficult to interpret, some inputs may be processed with third-party automated or AI-assisted tools acting as service providers. Human review or your confirmation may be needed for ambiguous information.
We do not use SMS enrollment as consent to marketing. Any future marketing text program will require its own appropriate consent.
Text messaging and consent
When an eligible adult affirmatively opts in to MapleWeave Submission Responses, we may use their mobile number to reply to household information they voluntarily submit by text, photo, document, or voicemail. These replies may include receipt confirmations, requests for clarification, processing results, and requested status updates. This campaign does not send unsolicited marketing, proactive calendar reminders, or scheduled household notifications. Message frequency varies based on the user’s submissions and requests. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of outgoing SMS or HELP for help. SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of purchasing or using other available MapleWeave services.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile information and text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Service providers and storage
To operate the service, we may use hosting and infrastructure providers, telecommunications providers such as Twilio, Google services where integrated, analytics/security tools, and service providers that help process communications and content. These providers process information on our behalf to support the service, subject to their applicable terms and safeguards; we do not permit use of SMS opt-in data for their own marketing.
Depending on the features actually enabled in your account, some supported files may be stored in a Google account you control, or in MapleWeave-managed infrastructure. The location and availability of storage options will be identified during onboarding. Do not assume that all announced storage choices or exports are live in the private preview.
Retention and choices
We retain information as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain records of consent or opt-out, satisfy legal and operational requirements, and resolve disputes. Retention can vary by data type, linked provider, backup practices, and whether a household uses its own Google storage. You may request information about access, correction, or deletion using the contact details provided with your account invitation. Certain records may be retained where necessary for compliance, security, or account administration.
If you reply STOP, we will honor the applicable SMS opt-out on that messaging number. Opting out of texts does not necessarily delete the underlying family account or its records.
Security and children
We work to restrict access to household information and use appropriate safeguards for a developing service. No internet-connected service, ordinary email, or SMS is entirely secure; SMS and email are not end-to-end encrypted communication channels. Please avoid sending passwords, financial account numbers, medical records, or similarly sensitive material through these channels.
MapleWeave is intended to be set up and supervised by an adult household organizer. It is not designed for children under 13 to register independently or to provide their own SMS marketing consent. Adults should manage permissions and what children can submit or view.
Website cookies and external services
The website may use necessary cookies and third-party features to operate WordPress, protect forms, measure traffic, or provide embedded content. Where a user connects Google or another third-party service, that provider’s own privacy policy may also apply to information held by it.
Changes and additional information
We may update this policy as MapleWeave develops. The effective date above identifies the version currently posted. For a plain-language explanation of the product’s current design and feature status, see Security & Privacy. Questions about your account may be submitted using the support method supplied in your private-preview invitation or, when active, by replying HELP to a MapleWeave operational text.
